The World of Warcraft Mortality Project

The World of Warcraft Mortality Project is borne of a single question - just how far can one get in the game if death is treated as final?

I intend to find out.

During the course of this project, I will play each class and each race of both factions. Characters will be rolled and played on a server that I have no other characters on; everything they do will be done without outside gold or gear. As I can't in good conscious subject others to this project, all characters will be solo-run. Dying in an instance and just leaving the group stranded is kind of a dick move.

Characters can use anything available to them that they would have in the course of normal play (spells, abilities, bandages, food, etc) and all will be played as I would play anyone else. All will have professions and can access items on the auction house. The only difference is that death is final.

I will keep notes on the progress of each character, and record the circumstances of their death, along with screenshots (because I like them) and at the end of their run, a total hours played tally.

I will not be playing on PvP servers ( or at least, not at first) because I'd like the project to last longer than a few days. The winning server, based on appropriateness to concept, was Ghostlands.

Faction, Race, and Class are all determined by random rolls. Gender, being irrelevant to this project, is decided at my whim. Professions and route through the game world will follow whatever logic I care to follow.

This project will be updated whenever I am tired of doing dailies or working on Loremaster.

If you would like to participate in the WoWMP, please let me know.

Subject 1 - Bahani

The first unfortunate victim of the WoWMP is Bahani, a female Tauren Warrior. I am not super excited for this as Mulgore, while pretty, leaves a little to be desired in terms of starting quests. That, and I fucking hate the Quillboar (and I hope they meet fiery death in cat). On the other hand, moos are fun and a warrior should be a little hardy. I've never played a warrior past the teens, so this will be interesting (and a good practice run for my cataclysm main).

Say hello to Bahani!

Bahani began her illustrious carrer the way all Tauren do: smacking around birds.

Even though no one in the history of the game has ever died one their first quest, I was still paranoid about it. This is going to be a fun project.
